I’m going to keep this relatively short because this past weekend has taken quite a toll on me and I’m starting to write this at 11:30pm. Not because anything bad had happened, but rather, I had quite a bit of fun catching up with family that I hadn’t seen in God knows how long.
I can’t lie, I was fairly anxious and thought way too much about too many things. But to be very honest, this was one of the most fun-filled weekends I’ve had in quite some time. It was great to catch up with cousins who I can really only ever talk to over snapchat or text, and it was pretty cool to meet new cousins as well, whether they are married into the family or they were born into it.
It was fantastic to celebrate my Grandmother’s 80th birthday, she seemed to have such a great time and that’s all you can really ask for. I mean lets be real for a second, without her, none of us would be here, so we’re definitely thankful for that. But she is such a great person and does her absolute best to not miss a thing and we always remember the people who are there for us and always in our corner and for that Nana, we thank you.
She came over to our table during the party and said, “Its so great to have everyone here and together because we all know when the time everyone will be together.” At first a very morbid statement, but then Brock being very quick said, “Yeah for your 90th birthday.”
I’m thankful for this weekend and I’m thankful for the time to reconnect. Hopefully the time a part isn’t so long next time.
